Endoscopy

Gastrointestinal services are conditions that include the health of your stomach, intestinal tract and other digestive organs.

The risk of getting colorectal cancer increases with age.  Colorectal cancer screening can save your life. The most common screening and diagnostic tool for the lower GI system is a colonoscopy. A colonoscopy is a procedure that uses a long, flexible, narrow tube with a light and tiny camera on one end, called a colonoscope, to look inside the rectum and entire colon. Colorectal cancer screening (colonoscopy) can find precancerous polyps so they can be removed before turning into cancer, allowing for appropriate treatment.

If you are 50 years old or older, getting a screening test for colorectal cancer could save your life.
